-how did you made the pador of the obi?
-how did you made the pador of the skirt?
-which product did you use to color your sleeves?
sorry to be so annoying but your cosplay is EXACTLY how I want to make mine look!!
thank you for your awser and sorry any problem.
So in the order, the first thing was (as for any cosplay) collecting as much picture, original artworks, screenshot from Yuna to see her outfit under all angles (or almost) ^^ Luckily I had find this picture [link] showing the complete development of the design on the skirt and the obi. And with this picture [link] I find that the design was the same then the one on the obi, but in other place and sense. (If you get lost with the sense etc, send me a note and I'll send you a detailed pictured of my obi front and back).
Then first I drew on a long paper the design on the good size for me and once finished mark it better with a bold black felt-tip. I put the paper inside the "tube" of my obi (I had sew it before to fix the size between my stomach and breast). Then with textil felt-tip I painted the design I could see in transparence through the fabric, starting with the flowers (a white basis and pink on the border of the petals), then the blue circle in the middle (starting with the darker blue) [for the form of the circle I drew a circle divided in 14 equals parts] and to finish the green branches and leaves between. (Paint all the design even if you see it will be too long for you, but to be sure to have enough fabric to cut it well on both side)
For the skirt, I made it completely before painting the flowers. I drew the motive using a special white chalk which disappear when you iron it. I drew it all and the start painting it in white and finished later adding some clear pink painting on the flowers.
For the sleeves, I used pink silk painting and a large and soft brush (a brand new to be sure the hair were all soft). Then I painted from the bottom to the top of the sleeves (stopping more or less in the middle) WITH A LOT OF WATER! That way the fabric didn't get all dyed. Now I would recommend you to make this before sewing your sleeves, because if you do it later, you'll have to put something hard in the inside.
Hoping I've been clear enough, don't be shy asking anything more if you need.
thank you very much and I will try to make this costume and then I would let you know if I did it right ^^
